Detail & Contour Survey

(also known as Pre Design, Contour and Topographic)

Known by a variety of names, Pre-Design Survey, Detail & Contour Survey, Contour & Feature Survey, Topographic Survey are basically all the same type of survey.  Surveying the location and/or levels/contours of existing areas, above ground, on the ground and underground. The survey can show as much or as little detail as necessary to provide adequate location and/or level information for any intended purpose.

The most common purpose of a Pre-Design survey is to form a base to design from.

For example, survey is often requested from Building Designers, Architects, Landscape Architects, Engineers or Builders, in order to design new structures, buildings or landscapes.

It is critical to make sure the base survey information of any design project has been carried out by a qualified & registered surveyor.  Would you contract an unlicensed plumber, electrician, builder or Civil Engineer to work on the project.  Survey Plan only use fully qualified, Qld Registered Surveyors (Qld Surveyors Board).
